Francis Durman is a mechanical engineer from Texas A&M University with over 40 years of experience. He began his career at Durman Esquivel, founded by his father, and expanded the company to Mexico, Central America, Peru, and Colombia.
He later served as CEO for Latin America at Aliaxis, further extending its regional presence. Currently, he leads Grupo Montecristo, a family-owned holding company focused on healthcare, logistics, commerce, and real estate. Under his leadership, the group has expanded significantly, notably growing Hospital Metropolitano in Costa Rica and forming strategic alliances, such as that with Sanford Health World Clinics. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, he continues to guide the group toward new horizons.
George Durman holds an MBA from INCAE. He began his career at Durman Esquivel, where he held key roles, including Director of Sales & Marketing. Following the company’s acquisition by Aliaxis, he served as Regional Director for South Latin America.
In 2014, he joined Grupo Montecristo as COO of the Healthcare Division, leading our expansion and securing a partnership with Sanford Health World Clinics to implement international best practices in Costa Rica’s healthcare sector in Costa Rica. His leadership has solidified our Healthcare Division as the group’s cornerstone. Additionally, he has spearheaded major projects in the healthcare sector, always seeking innovation and new growth opportunities.
